Veterinary Nurse
Matt has attended Southeastern Illinois College and Murray State University. His passions include raising cattle and Australian Shepherds, and he currently has a herd of around 50 head that features registered Angus, Hereford, and Simmental cattle. He also maintains a group of Australian Shepherds. When he’s not working, Matt can often be found in the cow barn or pasture with his cows and dogs. He grew up raising game birds, cattle, and swine, bringing over 20 years of experience in animal husbandry to his work. Matt plans to complete the Purdue University Vet Tech program and further his education in veterinary medicine. Additionally, he serves as one of the 4-H leaders for the Pioneers 4-H Club in Saline County and is a member of the Saline County 4-H livestock and management committees. He is passionate about teaching youth about livestock and agriculture, and he hopes to continue this important work for years to come.
